WHO IS The QUADRAT SYSTEM MADE FOR?
The Idea of a Glass, composite and steel structure that can be built by two or three people has been quite the experience. With an ever increasing world population there will be less space for us to enjoy. The Quadrat System is a practical response to an ever increasing demand for comfortable space at low cost. The system allows flexibility in funding, design and purpose.
As the world population increases from 7 to around 10 billion by 2050, land availability for construction will only decrease, this is attributed to numerous factors ranging from global temperature shifts, desertification, failed economic regions duet conflicts and water scarcity.
Countries such as the UK where land is already scarce is projected to be one of the most populous countries in Europe by 2050, the UK would have to tap into greenbelt and agricultural areas as pollution is decreased to accommodate for the increasing demand. Many other cities around the world will also have similar challenges as land close to services and infrastructure will be in high demand.
General rules of scarcity that translate higher demand for available land will only increase the price for plots to build and reduce them in size. Add that to higher labour cost, estate agents, purchasing fees, Insurance, and large developers who reinvest their profits into land grabs, and even more expensive property projects to attract international investors, and the result is a further push to the dream of owning one’s home farther away.
If you actually own your house today as a young newly-wed couple, you are very lucky in fact you are already considered asset rich.
The English Housing Survey (EHS) data also tell us that 46% of renters are under 35 years old, this is nearly twice as much as there were in 2006.

Next you need to build your slab foundation, any small local contractor can build that for you just make sure its according to our accepted standards. You don’t have to do that right away just do it when you have the funds. This should not take more than three days to build.
What you are doing now is not only spreading the cost of buying a house, but you are building as fast as you can afford and if you do ever need to take a loan it will be far less than everyone else.
Once you are done with your concrete slab, Insulated or not, all you have to do is order the superstructure, something you can assemble or we can do that for you if we happen to have a team in your area. It usually takes one to two days if you rent some lifting gear.
With your structure up its really a walk in the park from there on. It all depends on how much time you have on hand. Next comes installing the roof and skin of the house.
Finally you get to the glass This is when a dedicated specialist team is best to install. this can all be arranged as we oversee every kit assembly we supply to make sure everything is in order and up to standard.
Once your house is completely enclosed its really up to you how you want to finish it … in fact, now that you have a roof on your head you can finish the house at your pace. you can hire people to do the smaller tiling jobs, install your kitchen or use one of our recommended suppliers who include installation within their quotes. Many people will finish one room and a bathroom, move in to save the rent and use that money to complete their house at their convenience. This is far more control over your project than any other option out there today.
